The Daily Maverick is a South African daily online newspaper founded in 2009 and edited by Branko Brkic and published by Styli Charalambous. It is run by an independent private company.
I was commissioned to create supporting artwork for three of their online publications, as described below.
1) 'How does your community garden?' : For this project I created a header illustration about an NGO that started a community garden in an impoverished area and the positive effect it had on the children's concentration and focus on their schooling.
2) 'Engaging with real leadership is what South Africa needs now': This project called for collage style imagery on the concept of leadership.
3) 'How office spaces are changing for the better': I illustrated a timeline of how office spaces have changed throughout history, as well as graphics to showcase various office layouts in previous decades.
